The Aims of Pledge Nature Reserve Trust

To maintain and conserve the Reserve in as natural a state as possible.
To continually eradicate invader species
To introduce other locally indigenous plant species.
To develop and maintain trails, pathways and facilities in the Reserve in a manner sensitive to the environment for the benefit of the public.
To increase the size of the Reserve by obtaining adjacent land and to re-instate natural corridors to larger Reserves.
To develop educational facilities by building and staffing an Environmental Centre and increasing informative signage.
To encourage public interest, participation and increased usage of the Reserve.
To ensure that clean and controlled surface water leaves the Reserve on its way to the Lagoon.
To raise sufficient monies to enable the Trust to sustain the Aims
